Baseball Recap: White Deer Comes Up Short

White Deer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Shamrock Irish.

Cason Powell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. Braxton Brown also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

White Deer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Shamrock, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. White Deer will head out to face off against Sanford-Fritch at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Shamrock and Wellington will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. The game will give Shamrock their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
