Preview: Black Hills Wolves vs. Tenino Beavers

The Black Hills Wolves will be home for the holidays to greet the Tenino Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

After a string of six wins, Black Hills' good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-38 walloping at the hands of WF West. Black Hills has not had much luck with WF West recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Black Hills' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyler Venable, who scored 22 points, and Ashley Harris who scored six points along with 13 rebounds. The game was Venable's seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Black Hills struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Tenino came up short against Castle Rock on Friday and fell 42-32.

Black Hills' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-1. As for Tenino, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Black Hills against Tenino in their previous matchup back in December of 2015 as the team secured a 62-15 win. Does Black Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tenino turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
