Soccer Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monroe Trojans. That's two games in a row now that Dexter have lost by just one goal.

Dexter's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Monroe, they moved to 2-6-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Dexter will take on Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe will be paying especially close attention to the Dreadnaughts' game: after the Dreadnaughts face off against the Rocks, they'll take on Monroe again at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
