Basketball Recap: Grandview Prep Comes Up Short

Grandview Prep was the 62-50 winner over Park Vista when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Grandview Prep Pride fell 57-45 to the Park Vista Cobras on Tuesday. The game marked the Pride's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Park Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristen Etienne, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. That's the most rebounds Etienne has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Tray Goldwire, who posted 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Grandview Prep and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Park Vista, their record now sits at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grandview Prep will square off against Somerset Academy Key at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Park Vista, they will take on Royal Palm Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
