Volleyball Game Preview: Monterey Dores vs. Alisal Trojans

The Monterey Dores will head out on the road to take on the Alisal Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monterey will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Monterey made easy work of Watsonville and carried off a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-19, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Alisal got the win against Everett Alvarez on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Alisal's got stronger as the match went on, holding Everett Alvarez to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 25-9.

The victory got Alisal back to even at 4-4. As for Monterey, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Monterey took their victory against Alisal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dores since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
