Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Crest Chargers

The Franklin Panthers will challenge the Crest Chargers on Thursday. One thing working in Franklin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Franklin is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Smoky Mountain just ended the team's eight-game winning streak last Tuesday. They fell 65-55 to the Mustangs.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was JackJack Teesateskie, who posted 16 points along with five assists and five steals. His big performance that evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Peyton Hervey was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crest walked away with it. They blew past the Wildcats 88-67 on Tuesday. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Crest, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
