League recap: Schoenberg dominating on the mound for Albany

West Central - North's top pitcher this week was Tony Schoenberg. His stat line for the week included one win and seven Ks.

On Thursday, the top two teams in the current league standings will go head to head, as Albany and Paynesville meet. The Huskies currently hold a 1.0-game lead over the Bulldogs for first place.

Albany's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 32 hits and seven walks, both of which led the league. The Huskies have given up a mere 101 hits on the year in addition to compiling 86 strikeouts. Schoenberg is the leader in that category with 29 Ks on the season.

Albany scored a league-best 54 runs this week, adding to its league-leading 97 runs on the season. The Huskies' key hitters include Jeremy Klein, who has a team-high 12 runs, and Scott Litchy, who leads the squad with with 12 RBIs.

Albany's Tony Harlander led the league with seven hits this week. On the season, he's hitting .359 and ranks third in the league with 14 hits.
