Football Recap: Creek Valley Storm vs. Wallace Wildcats
After flying high against Minatare last Thursday, Creek Valley came back down to earth. The Storm were beaten by the Wallace Wildcats 48-12 on Thursday. The Storm lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 81-6 score last time.
Although Creek Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Alvin Russell and Luke Fletcher.
Wallace got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyson Sullivan out in front who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashtin Johns, who rushed for 79 yards and one score.
Creek Valley's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wallace, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Creek Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hay Springs on the 19th. As for Wallace, they will welcome South Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
