Troy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Williamson Warriors 3-0. The Trojans have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-17, 26-24.

Aryana Andrus paced Troy's offense, picking up nine kills. Andrus got some help from Brenna Jackson and her nine assists. Finally, Andrus was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Williamson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Troy has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Athens on the 28th. Williamson has also already played their next game (against Towanda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
