Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly seven points.

Lake Charles College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Dugas, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Evan Burns, who put up 12 points.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lake Charles College Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Northwest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bunkie at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Lake Charles College Prep, they will take on Natchitoches Central in a tournament on Friday.
