Basketball Recap: Jackson Beats Perry for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Jackson waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They strolled past the Perry Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 75-59. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-56 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Perry lost, don't look at Luke Wolf. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Wolf is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 21 or more in the last four games he's played. Drake Jacobsen also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Jackson pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Jackson will square off against McKinley at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully McKinley likes a good challenge. As for Perry, they will challenge Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season.
