Basketball Recap: Presque Isle's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Caribou, Presque Isle was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hermon Hawks, sneaking past 39-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-33 back in December of 2024.

Presque Isle's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4. As for Hermon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Presque Isle will square off against Orono at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Hermon, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Hermon Hawks duke it out with the Ellsworth Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellsworth will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hermon surely won't give up without a fight.
