Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Home Wins for Gaston Christian

Gaston Christian won against Providence Day two weeks ago with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Gaston Christian put the hurt on the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks with a sharp 11-1 victory. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

Logan Davis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Davis was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Xander Sutton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Summerlin, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Gaston Christian pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
