Baseball Recap: Wallington Comes Up Short

Wallington's last matchup with Leonia could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 14-0. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Wallington got a good showing from Ben McGinn, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits McGinn has allowed since back in April.

Wallington's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Leonia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wallington and Leonia will both be playing Garfield the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Boilermakers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
