Baseball Recap: Fairbanks Comes Up Short

Fairbanks came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Grove City Christian Eagles, falling 8-2. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

Fairbanks saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Rausch, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was Rausch's first of the season.

Fairbanks' defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Grove City Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Fairbanks nor Grove City Christian have any future games scheduled.
