Oxbow strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lake Region Rangers a 24-0 shutout. Give the Olympians' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Anastase Bourgeois was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Maggi Ellsworth and Brooke Osgood did most of the damage at the plate: Ellsworth went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Osgood went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Osgood has posted since back in May of 2024. Mazie Bourgeois was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Oxbow hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive contests.

Oxbow pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.1 runs over those games. As for Lake Region, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxbow will face off against Randolph at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Region, they will challenge Bellows Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
