Oxbow strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lake Region Rangers a 24-0 shutout. Give the Olympians' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Anastase Bourgeois was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Maggi Ellsworth and Brooke Osgood did most of the damage at the plate: Ellsworth went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Osgood went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
