Softball Game Preview: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. East Burke Cavaliers

Newton-Conover is 1-6 against East Burke since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Newton-Conover Red Devils will host the East Burke Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Newton-Conover came up short against Lincolnton and fell 6-3.

Meanwhile, East Burke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Bandys. The contest marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

East Burke saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyndal Morrison, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Newton-Conover now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Burke, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
