Volleyball Recap: Clay County Comes Up Short

If Clay County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pineville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the South Laurel Cardinals on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Clay County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Clay County will face off against Knox Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Laurel, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against McCreary Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
