Soccer Game Preview: Sikeston vs. Poplar Bluff

The Sikeston Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Poplar Bluff Mules at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sikeston's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Sikeston fell victim to Saxony Lutheran and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Poplar Bluff made sure to put some goals up on the board against Central on Friday. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering Poplar Bluff's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Sikeston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Poplar Bluff, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
