Ava Yamashita posted a new career-high in steals on Friday. She almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 steals. Thanks to that strong showing, she's now averaging 2.1 steals per game. She is becoming a predictor of Gabrielino's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 6-3 (and 4-6 when she doesn't).
