Robert C. Byrd came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Ritchie County, but Chelsie Jeffrey wouldn't allow it. The Ritchie County Rebels enjoyed a cozy 44-30 win over the Robert C. Byrd Eagles on Monday thanks in part to Jeffrey, who posted 18 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Rae Rupert was another key player, putting up four points and eight boards. What's more, she posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Ritchie County and bumps their season record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Robert C. Byrd, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
