Preview: STEMCivics vs. American History Bald Eagles
STEMCivics will head out on the road to take on the American History Bald Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (STEMCivics has three straight wins, American History has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, STEMCivics took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 84-54 win over Maple Shade.
Meanwhile, American History pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Voorhees.
American History's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ahmad Woodard, who scored 23 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woodard has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Edgar De Los Santos, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
STEMCivics is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for American History, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-15.
STEMCivics was taken down by American History 70-28 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can STEMCivics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
