Volleyball Recap: Laconia Takes a Loss

Laconia was the 2-0 winner over Amherst when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons on Saturday.

Finley Morgan paced Laconia's offense, picking up nine kills. Morgan got some help from Gabby Pinno and her 12 assists. Josie Basler controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Amherst found their leader in sophomore Leah Kisting, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Laconia's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Amherst, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Laconia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Berlin on the 20th. As for Amherst, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Omro on the 20th.
