Baseball Recap: Carlmont Triumphs

Carlmont lost to King's Academy back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Scots came out on top against the Knights by a score of 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scots.

The team relied heavily on Jason Tofigh, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Carlmont is 2-1 when Tofigh posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Pano Koutoulas, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Tofigh wasn't the only one making solid contact: Carlmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Scots are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Carlmont's record now sits at 7-9. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Carlmont will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
