Basketball Game Preview: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. Cornerstone Charter Cardinals

The Elkin Buckin' Elks and the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Elkin lost to East Wilkes on the road by a 44-29 margin. The Buckin' Elks haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 45-24 to Piedmont Classical.

Cornerstone Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Elkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
