Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Knights vs. Mead Raiders
The Elmwood-Murdock Knights entered their tilt with the Mead Raiders with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Elmwood-Murdock took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 61-5 win over the Raiders. Elmwood-Murdock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season.
Elmwood-Murdock had a senior duo take command as Laney Frahm scored 13 points along with seven steals and six rebounds and Tatum Backemeyer scored 14 points along with four steals. Frahm is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Brooklyn Mans was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Elmwood-Murdock pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Mead, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Elmwood-Murdock will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Palmyra will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Knights are ranked 19th). As for Mead, they will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
