Football Recap: Wheatland Victorious + How To Watch

Wheatland's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Union Mine Diamondbacks with a 12-8 victory.

Joseph Franklin threw for 81 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes. On the ground, Jaylen Brown rushed for 60 yards and one score on only six carries.

The win got Wheatland back to even at 1-1. As for Union Mine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Wheatland will head out on the road to square off against North Valleys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Union Mine, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
