Indianapolis Bishop Chatard faced Monrovia in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Trojans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024.

While Indianapolis Bishop Chatard might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Monrovia scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-18.

Keller McDonald paced Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's offense, picking up six kills. McDonald got some help from Maddox Wynk and his 24 assists. Zach Smith and Pierson Wynk kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Monrovia, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Cathedral on the 12th. As for Monrovia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Beech Grove on the 11th.
