Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Lathrop's Winning Streak

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lathrop couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 28-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Casa Roble Rams on Friday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Daryion Reyno threw for 87 yards on ten of 18 attempts. Maddox Ramos was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Pablo Pena rushed for 124 yards and a pair of TDs.

Jaylan Barcenas produced another solid performance rushing for 152 yards and two scores while picking up 9.5 yards per carry for Casa Roble.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Casa Roble, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Lathrop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Casa Roble, they will square off against Sutter at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
