Jackson North Side has gone 6-1 against Liberty Tech Magnet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Indians will face off against the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. Jackson North Side will be strutting in after a victory while Liberty Tech Magnet will be coming in after a loss.

Jackson North Side took a 14-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bolivar Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians skirted past the Tigers 7-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Journey Wilbourn made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Wilbourn was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Leah Marshall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kaleigha Hartfield also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Liberty Tech Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-9 to Middleton.

Takiyah Golden was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Jayda Stovall was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Liberty Tech Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Jackson North Side, their record is now 4-16.

Jackson North Side took their victory against Liberty Tech Magnet when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 20-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
