Preview: Plymouth vs. John A. Holmes

Plymouth (3-4) and John A. Holmes (6-1) take on one another this Friday at 7:30 PM on Plymouth's home turf. Both teams are strolling into their matchup after big wins in their previous games.

Plymouth is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. Everything went its way against Perquimans last week as it secured a 46 - 7 win. No one had a larger role in the success than junior Samyr Cooper, who brought his A game into the contest. He earned two touchdowns and 75 yards rushing the ball. Cooper has now scored at least one TD in the past five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, John A. Holmes can now show off six landslide victories after its game last week. It crushed Camden County last week, winning 76 - 7. At 69 points, that marked John A. Holmes's largest margin of victory so far this year.

The last time they met, John A. Holmes was the decided 42 - 0 victor. Plymouth couldn't get the same offensive movement going as John A. Holmes (353 yards compared to 112 yards), so it will surely be hoping to change that this time around. Will Plymouth avenge its loss? We'll find out soon enough.
