Softball Recap: Centennial Has No Trouble Against Alhambra

Centennial not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 21-0 margin over the Alhambra Lions. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Coyotes' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Brooke Denton was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilani Diaz, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The victory snapped Centennial's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will venture away from home to face off against ALA - Gilbert North at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alhambra, they will head out on the road to challenge Desert Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Alhambra's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
