Softball Recap: Zimmerman Takes a Loss

Zimmerman lost against St. Francis back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunder lost 13-2 to the Fighting Saints. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylee Martinez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn Tucker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Zimmerman's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Francis, their record now sits at 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Zimmerman is set to challenge their familiar foe Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Francis will face off against rival North Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
