Football Recap: Merino Rams vs. Byers Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Merino can now relate to. They were beaten by the Byers Bulldogs 44-14 on Sunday. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
It was another big night for Kaleb Willoughby, who rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns for Byers. Aj Engle got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Merino's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Byers, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Merino does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Byers, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Mancos at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
