Baseball Recap: Antioch Victorious

Antioch proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the El Cerrito Gauchos 2-0.

Not much got past Arjen Ruiz Real, who gave up just two hits to keep El Cerrito off the board.

On the hitting side, Antioch's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Borunda, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Antioch now has a winning record of 3-2. As for El Cerrito, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antioch will challenge West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for El Cerrito, they will venture away from home to challenge Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
