Volleyball Recap: Overhills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Overhills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Jack Britt Buccaneers. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Overhills ultimately came up short, they really made Jack Britt work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10, 26-24.

Ally Williams paced Overhills' offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Sophia Singh and her 15 assists. Singh also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Makayla (Kk) Owens, racking up three apiece.

Elynoeh Cuevas-Vidal was a one-woman wrecking crew For Jack Britt. as she had 22 digs and three assists. Cuevas-Vidal is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Overhills' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Jack Britt, they moved to 4-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Overhills has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Richmond Senior on the 18th. As for Jack Britt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Pine Forest on the 18th.
