Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Kettle Run

The Skyline Hawks will face off against the Kettle Run Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Skyline's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Skyline is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They and Manassas Park finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Skyline's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Kettle Run strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Warren County get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Kettle Run's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last eight contests.

Maggie Gardner and Gloria Malloy scored all three of Kettle Run's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Kettle Run's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Skyline's draw gives them a new season record of 0-7-1.
