Volleyball Recap: Eldon Gets the Win

Eldon won the last time they faced Centralia and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers.

Eldon was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 25-8, 25-10.

Eldon can attribute much of their success to Sarah Tompkins, who had eight digs and six aces. That's the most digs Tompkins has posted since back in October of 2024.

Tompkins wasn't the only good server: Eldon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centralia didn't served any aces.

The win got Eldon back to even at 1-1. As for Centralia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Eldon has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fulton on the 8th. As for Centralia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Tipton on the 8th.
