Softball Recap: Taconic Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Anthony, Taconic was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Monument Mountain Spartans by a score of 14-11. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thunder as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Abby Soto was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Mollie Crawford was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Taconic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Taconic's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Monument Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Taconic will take on Westfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monument Mountain, they will face off against Hoosac Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
