Softball Recap: Landstown Takes a Loss

Landstown lost against First Colonial back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Patriots, falling 8-1. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Landstown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriella Perez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That hit was Perez's first of the season.

Landstown has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for First Colonial, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Landstown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Ocean Lakes on the 10th. As for First Colonial, they have also already played their next game, a 13-2 win against Green Run on the 10th.
