Basketball Recap: Gulf Shores Comes Up Short

Gulf Shores was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 73-57 to the Orange Beach Makos. The Dolphins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Makos earlier this season, when they won 53-39.

Gulf Shores' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Orange Beach, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gulf Shores will venture away from home to challenge Bayside Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Orange Beach, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bayshore Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
