Baseball Recap: Bald Knob Takes a Loss

Bald Knob was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Maumelle Charter Falcons, falling 13-4.

Dakota Shoebottom was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. John ?Cooper? Busselle also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Bald Knob's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Maumelle Charter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Bald Knob will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st. As for Maumelle Charter, they will challenge Nemo Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nemo Vista is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
