Baseball Game Preview: Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs vs. Gordonsville Tigers

For the second straight game, Red Boiling Springs will face off against Gordonsville. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Boiling Springs has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.

Red Boiling Springs came up short against Gordonsville on Monday, falling 19-4.

For Gordonsville's part, Dalton Hancock was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Hancock a new career-high. Brodie Sykes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Gordonsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gordonsville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Red Boiling Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
