Soccer Recap: Campo Verde Falls Short Against Ranked Desert Mountain

On Friday, Campo Verde faced Desert Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Campo Verde Coyotes fell just short of the Desert Mountain Wolves by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Coyotes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Gabriella Bredensteiner, who's now up to two this season.

Campo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Desert Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campo Verde has already played their next game (against Notre Dame Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Desert Mountain and Horizon will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Mountain is facing Horizon at the right time seeing as Horizon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
