Baseball Game Preview: El Camino Eagles vs. Dixon Rams

For the second straight game, El Camino will face off against Dixon. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Rams at 4:15 p.m. El Camino is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Dixon hit El Camino with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 13-3 to the Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

For Dixon's part, Owen Tomelloso tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave Tomelloso a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kai Mulitsch-Reynolds, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isacc Santos, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Dixon's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15-1. As for El Camino, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.
