Wakefield Country Day has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Chelsea Academy Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wakefield Country Day focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
Last Friday, Wakefield Country Day took a serious blow against Massanutten Military Academy, falling 44-14.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Maddy Addeo, who scored no points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Wakefield Country Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Academy entered their tilt with Christ Chapel Academy with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Chelsea Academy came out on top against Christ Chapel Academy by a score of 58-45 on Friday.
Wakefield Country Day's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Chelsea Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Wakefield Country Day suffered a grim 40-17 defeat to Chelsea Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Wakefield Country Day avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
