Softball Game Preview: Beau Chene Gators vs. Plainview Hornets

The Beau Chene Gators will take on the Plainview Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Beau Chene's offense. They lost 10-0 to Notre Dame on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Gators, who until this game were averaging 4.05 runs allowed.

Beau Chene saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Patin, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Plainview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, falling 11-4. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly seven runs.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Beau Chene, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
