Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Vikings vs. South Rebels

The Hoover Vikings and the South Rebels will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Hoover was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to GlenOak. The Vikings have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, South had to suffer through a 78-48 loss at the hands of Strongsville. The contest marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

South's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Hoover took their victory against South in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 66-45. Does Hoover have another victory up their sleeve, or will South turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
