Baseball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

Kingston fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Port Angeles on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Roughriders by a score of 7-6. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Roughriders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Kyler Hedstrom made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-6 with three stolen bases and two runs. Tristan Scott also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Port Angeles, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Kingston nor Port Angeles have any future games scheduled.
