Greenville suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Greenville Tigers vs. Calhoun Tigers

The Greenville Tigers lost against the Calhoun Tigers on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Greenville received a tough blow as they fell 72-53 to Calhoun. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greenville in their matchups with Calhoun: they've now lost three in a row.

Calhoun's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brenterris Managan led the charge by scoring 19 points. The match was Managan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Taylor Robertson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and three steals.

Greenville's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-10. As for Calhoun, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville will challenge Thomasville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Autaugaville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
